For trail runners, mountain bikers and hikers, life came to a screeching halt when COVID-19 hit. Used to exploring the great outdoors and now stuck indoors, doing garden runs and stair climbs practically brought us to tears.

Slowly but surely, we accepted the new normal of smaller groups, limited social gatherings and with no races on the horizon, we needed to improvise. What started as an invitation to a few friends from Cape Town to join in on some tranquil, pristine, mostly jeep track, trail running quickly sparked the interest of mountain bikers and hikers alike.
